Caitlin Starr Cohn has a Ph.D. in Apparel Studies from the University of Minnesota. She completed her dissertation on women’s bicycling dress from 1868-1900. She became obsessed with bicycles starting in 2011 and eventually realized that she could combined bicycles and clothing into one research project. She lives in Minneapolis with her daughter.
Great blog Caitlin, and best of luck with your dissertation. Hopefully we’ll get to read some of it when it’s completed.

Long term, yes, I would like to. My dissertation focuses on Britain and the U.S., and I only have so much energy for new research right now, but I am interested in cycling in a broader context.
